Frequently Asked Questions
How will I receive my OSHA card after finishing the course?
You will receive your OSHA/DOL card in 4–8 weeks after completing the program. This card will be delivered directly to your doorstep without any additional fee or hidden charges.
How long does it take to complete OSHA Training online, and can I do it at my own pace?
Yes, you can complete your OSHA training online in at least two to four days. Since OSHA only allows 7.5 hours of training in a day, it will take you a minimum of two days to complete 10-hour courses and four days to finish the 30-hour programs. You will have six months to complete all of these training before your course expires.
What’s the difference between SST and OSHA training?
OSHA training is federal, covers general workplace safety, and results in a DOL card. Meanwhile, SST training is specific to NYC and required under Local Law 196 for certain job sites. SST builds on OSHA topics and leads to an SST card needed for NYC construction work.
How is New York OSHA different from federal OSHA?
Federal OSHA sets nationwide safety standards, while New York follows these rules but also enforces additional local requirements like Local Law 196. These local laws mandate extra training, such as SST courses, for construction workers and supervisors on NYC job sites. In other words, New York OSHA combines federal standards with city-specific safety regulations.
What should I do until my DOL card arrives?
After completing your OSHA course, you will receive a temporary certificate of completion. You can use this certificate as proof of training while you wait for your official DOL card.
Is New York OSHA training acceptable in all states?
Yes, generally the New York OSHA courses are valid across all the 50 states. These programs meet the federal OSHA requirements and the DOL you earn from these trainings are accepted by employers all over the country.
Are Your Courses authorized by OSHA?
Yes, NYOSHA30 partners with UL Solutions (PureSafety) to provide its OSHA outreach courses. PureSafety is listed on OSHA.gov as one of the authorized providers of OSHA 10 and 30-Hour courses.
Are your New York courses voice proctored?
Yes, our NY OSHA 10 and 30-Hour courses are voice proctored as it is required by the New York City Department of Buildings (DOB). This means you are required to verify your identity by speaking into your device’s microphone every time you log in to start training.
